Paris asks Airbnb to delist 1,000 apartments

The city of Paris has blacklisted 1,000 Airbnb that are not registered within the city hall and wants Airbnb to block the listings. Since December, there are new regulations in Paris. Every vacation rental should be registered with the city and you cannot rent for more than 120 days per year.

Airbnb revealed its 2017 travel trends report and identified the Japanese traditional ryokan as one of the most popular choices with a 600% increase in bookings. Toronto approves new regulations

Do not worry, short-term rentals (less than 28 days) are not banned. However, those operating them will need to register their short-term rental and pay an annual fee of 50$.Only primary residences will be allowed to be rented on a short-term basis which can include up to three rooms for an unlimited number of days, or the entire house for no more than 180 nights per year. Secondary spaces, the most common form being a separate basement complete with a kitchen and bathroom, will not be allowed to be rented as a short-term rental.

Airbnb host accused of hiding camera in room he rented to woman

A South Carolina man was arrested Saturday after a woman discovered a camera hidden in the room he rented to her through Airbnb. Cesar Adam Mendez Fuentes, 35, of Greenville, was charged with voyeurism after the unidentified woman, 26, told police she discovered the camera in an alarm clock, FOX Carolina reported.
